April 21, 2002: Kansas City, Missouri 4 LIFE! Or Kansas City, Kansas. I don't know which side of the city the arena's on.
Rebeaker: Eviljonhunt81
Match 1: Tajiri cheated to beat Kidman and regain the Cruiserweight title. I didn't know that Kidman had one it before, or that Tajiri was in the middle of a HEEL turn, as I don't get Smackdown.
Puro Smarks say: Tajiri isn't nearly as good as he was in Japan, and Kidman ain't no CIMA.
Non-puro Smarks say: I wish Rey Mysterio Jr. was in this match. Or Chris Benoit.
Eviljonhunt81 says: I wish Rhyno were in this match, and Kidman ain't no Jedo (or Gedo, for that matter).
Match 2: Scott Hall beat Bradshaw after some sort of interference from X-Pac, or something. Farooq and Bradshaw reunited backstage. I'm not sure, but I think Bradshaw asked if Farooq would watch his back tonight (i.e. keep X-Pac from cheating and thus costing Bradshaw the match), and Farooq said "you had me at hello." And then apparently did nothing as Bradshaw lost.
Puro Smarks say: I've seen better brawls in Big Japan.
Non-puro Smarks say: Hall won because he is friends with HHH, who is sleeping with Stephanie McMahon, who is booking the entire thing five minutes before the start of the show, and has instituted a glass ceiling to keep Chris Benoit down.
Eviljonhunt81 says: Remember when I said I didn't really care about any of the matches on this PPV? yeah.
Match 3: Jazz defeated Trish Stratus to retain the Women's Title, for like the 30th PPV in a row. Molly Hotty (haha. I WILL marry her) beat up Trish before the match. This is probably setting up a feud between the two, which would make more sense had Trish one and therefore gotten the belt for them to be feuding over. Oh well.
Puro Smarks say: Despite *** star matches from the women for the past few weeks on RAW, they are an embarrasment to what AJW have worked so hard to create. I only like women wrestlers that look like men.
Non-puro Smarks say: The women's division sucks. I wish Saturn would dress up like a girl again and be allowed to wrestle in it.
or Chris Benoit.
Eviljonhunt81 says: The women have been putting on good matches week in and week out. I kind of would have liked to see this. Also, I was thinking about this house show I went to when I was like 12 or so. I can only remember two matches: Doink vs. Jerry Lawler, and Bull Nakano vs. Alundra Blayze. I imagine that Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart (among others) appeared on the card, but I only remember these two. I also distinctly remember thinking that the women's match was the best one of the night. I am a pervert.
Match 4: Brock Lesnar beat Jeff Hardy. Lita didn't turn. I bet this was sick.
Puro Smarks say: The WWF doesn't know how to properly build a monster HEEL. They should look at how NJPW uses Giant Singh and Giant Silva, who, in a crime against nature, were jobbed out as members of The Oddities in the WWF. Heathens.
Non-puro Smarks say: Jeff Hardy's willingness to give his all to entertain the crowd is reckless. AND HE IS TEH FAG!! He is gonna get hurt doins stupid stuff, and then have to be out for a year, JUST LIKE CHRIS BENOIT!
Eviljonhunt81 says: I wish I had seen this. Brock Lesnar is your new god.
Match 5: Kurt Angle beat Edge. I miss Angle. :(
Puro Smarks say: You call Angle a scientific wrestler? I once sawYugi Nagata win a match with nothing but a headlock, applied for 45 minutes until the opponenet passed out. That's scientific wrestling.
Non-puro Smarks say: Edge is being held down by the glass ceiling. And it's a shame that Jericho doesn't have a match. Angle and Jericho should have been main eventing this, feuding over the Undisputed Title. AND THEN BENOIT SHOULD HAVE DONE A RUN IN AND WON THE TITLE AND HELD IT FOR 2 YEARS TO RE-ESTABLISH IT'S CREDIBILITY!
Eviljonhunt81 says: I don't understand all the hype about Edge. His promos are god awful since he left Christian, and his matches aren't anything to write home about either. I wish Angle was on RAW, though. :( again.
Match 6: Eddie Guerrero beat RVD for the IC Title. JR mentions D'Lo's name during the match. Hell freezes over.
Puro Smarks say: RVD is all spots. Besides, I haven't watched WWF or any North American Wrestling in 18 YEARS! Despite this, I will still tell you that the WSEF (LOL!) SUXORRRS!
Non-puro Smarks say: RVD is all spots. Eddie should be in the main event, reunited with his Radical buddy Chris Benoit!
Eviljonhunt81 says: I wanted to see this match, too. Hopefully they continue kicking ass tomorrow night.
Match 7: Undertaker beat Steve Austin, but Austin's foot was under the rope. Ric Falir was the ref, and when shown the replay he says "Oh shit."
Puro Smarks say: Undertaker and Stone Cold are so old! Give me Mutoh vs. Tenryu any day.
Non-puro Smarks say: Undertaker is holding Austin down! AS WELL AS BENOIT!
Eviljonhunt81 says: I still don't care about this feud. Or face Austin. HEEL Undertaker is cool, but mainly when he's beating up RVD/Jeff Hardy/Ric Flair/David Flair.
Match 8: Chuck and Billy beat Maven and Al Snow. No shit?
Puro Smarks say: Chuck and Billy is just another example of the stupid gimmicks that run rampant in the WSEF. You never see that stuff in Japan.
non-puro Smarks say: BENOIT BENOIT BENOIT BENOIT BENOIT!! BEEEEEEEEEEENOOOOOOIIIIIIIITTT!
Eviljonhunt81 says: I spent way too much time on those stupid links. And I will never see the Tag Belts again. Weird.
Your Main Event: Hogan beat HHH to become the Undisputed Champ. Undertaker and Jericho both got involved, and it seems that Jericho will be feuding with HHH and Undertaker with Hogan over the Undisputed Title. Craziness. I will see Hogan at RAW tomorrow night.
Puro Smarks say: In Japan, only young talent gets the titles. HOGAN IS OLD!
Non-puro Smarks say: HHH is evil, so it's good he lost, but Hogan is evil, so it's bad he lost, but it's good that HHH lost, but neither are Canadian, and *explode*
Eviljonhunt81 says: I thought it was obvious Hogan would win. Now, if only I had cared who would win . . .
Final Thoughts: I kind of wish I had seen this. And Hogan's gonna be at RAW tomorrow. Weird.
